Who are we ?

The Association des consultants en foresterie du Québec (ACF) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1999.

The ACF represents more than thirty consulting offices operated by seventeen active member firms from Québec’s principal forestry engineering and consulting sectors.

The ACF is the only association of forestry consulting firms in Québec.
-
Its principal mission is to ensure that forestry consultants are actively represented in debates on the principal forestry issues in Québec.

The clientele of ACF members is diverse:

Québec and Canadian government departments, the principal one being Québec’s Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune;

Parapublic agencies and State corporations;

The forest industry;

Associations of forest workers and owners;

Local governments and regional county municipalities;

Aboriginal communities;

Organizations from the wildlife and vacation sectors;

Financial institutions and international lending organizations;

Did you know?
Between 2000 and 2020, ACF members analyzed nearly 757,000 km2 of forests in photo-interpretation, which represents 1,520 times the area of the Island of Montreal (or half the area of Quebec);
Between 2000 and 2020, ACF members inventoried a total of approximately 32,275 temporary sample plots and 94,005 permanent sample plots, equivalent to nearly 50 km2;
Between 2000 and 2020, ACF members participated in the creation of nearly 3,415 km of roads across Quebec, which represents, within 100 km, the distance between Quebec City and that of Regina in Saskatchewan.
